RESERVATION POLICIES:

RESERVE EARLY! Our trips will fill months in advance, and our maximum group size is small so that everyone gets quality one-on-one time with our Pro. We will confirm your reservation within two business days of receiving your application. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will email your confirmation letter, detailed trip planner (including packing suggestions, useful destination information, and a suggested reading list), and insurance recommendations. All trips are pending until we notify you that the trip is confirmed.

STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY:

We understand things happen in life and sometimes you have to cancel or change your plans. If you have to cancel your reservation, we require written notification by e­mail to info@guruadventuretravel.com.

All deposits are NON­REFUNDABLE and will be retained by GURU.

  • Cancellations 90-61 days before departure: 50% of the trip price is retained by GURU

  • Cancellations 60-0 days prior to departure: 100% of the trip price is retained by GURU

GURU cannot under any circumstances be responsible for snow conditions, wind conditions, surf conditions, or any other weather related occurrences. Cancellation/amendment fees will be applied if cancelling or changing bookings on the basis of weather conditions.

CANCELLED TRIPS:

In the rare event that GURU must cancel a tour, all trip members will receive a full refund of payments made to GURU Adventure Travel. GURU reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, including insufficient trip enrollment. GURU is not responsible for expenses incurred by guests in preparing for a cancelled trip, including, but not limited to, nonrefundable airline tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc. We encourage you to contact us prior to purchasing your airline tickets to confirm the status of your trip.

DENAIL OF PARTICIPATION:

GURU reserves the right to deny participation in the trip to any traveler that GURU, in its sole discretion, judges to be incapable of meeting the rigors and requirements of the trip activities, or whose actions or deportment it judges unsuitable for group travel. During the trip, GURU has the right in its sole discretion to remove anyone who it determines to detract from others’ enjoyment of the trip. The decision of the GURU Pro is final on all matters that may threaten the safety or interfere with the well-being of others.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Terms and Conditions: Insurance - All GURU Adventure Travel customers must be self insured for medical and repatriation costs, and for all activities you will pursue on your vacation. Health Requirements - All GURU Adventure Travel customers must be in good physical health to safely enjoy all the activities we offer. Signature(s) on the reservation form certify that the participants do not have any physical problems that would put themselves, other participants, GURU Adventure Travel employees, contractors, or service providers at risk. Sport Ability - All participants must be capable of maintaining the minimum ability level noted for their specific trip, and must be familiar with the occasional rigors of their sport’s conditions. Our typical customer is active in their sport on a regular basis in-season and has a good level of fitness. Passport - It is the responsibility of the participants to obtain a valid passport with an expiration date not less than 6 months after your return or renew their passports prior to joining a trip if needed. Traveling to the starting point - It is the responsibility of the participants to arrive at the correct location at the scheduled time of trip meet or departure.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is strongly advised. We recommend you carry medical insurance to cover hospital & helicopter ambulance evacuation expenses. Medical evacuation costs are the responsibility of the guest. We also recommend personal insurance to cover loss of baggage, skis, surfboards, etc. due to airlines or unforeseen accidents. Your homeowners insurance may not be enough. Make sure your insurance covers you while you are in the country you are traveling to. No refunds are given due to illness or injury.
